Bennachie
This is the best loved and most prominent hill in the Grampian Region,
even though the highest of its five summits is only 1,733ft.
In spite of its volcano like shape the Mither Tap has never been a
volcano. Mither Tap is the most prominent summit that can be seen
from Chapel of Garioch school. It is the subject of the photographs
on this page. Click here

Go for a walk around Bennachie
Bennachie provides a splendid recreational area with numerous hill
walks, marked forest trail and picnic sites. The main walks start
from the Donview, Esson's, Rowan Tree and Back O' Bennachie carparks.
The Bennachie Centre is located at Essons, where additional information
on the area, its floral and fauna can be found. Visit the
Forestry Commission site to find out more.
